Optimisation & fireballs
Optimisation & fireballs; I dare you to find a more classic pairing!
So, a lot of work has gone into reducing the size of the WebGL build to improve download times for players. Even with all the new assets, the game is only 16.5mb. Wooh!
Also, we've been doing a user experience pass, trying to make it as quick and easy as possible to get from booting the game up to playing. To that end, we've condensed the splash screens into just one as well as displaying both keyboard and gamepad controls to the user the instant they start the game up. Less screens to get through and no need to dig into additional menus to check the controls!
All of that is really important to the experience but not very exciting to talk about. What is exciting to talk about is FIREBALLS!
